Monday 7th July
So After getting burnt and drenched over the last few days it now came time to check out of my hotel at the florida mall. A top notch hotel with all the facilities you could need and friendly staff on hand to assist.
This day would be a bit tricky because I had to check out of one hotel at 11 and couldn't check into my next one on international drive until 3.
It felt quite sad to be leaving actually, almost felt like the end of the holiday, even though it is only just beginning!
So the morning was spent looking around the mall and like I said before, it is huge. Would be so easy to get lost in there. Found M & Ms world which was full of colour, chocolate and.... Well, M&Ms really. It also had a full size replica of Kyle Busch's nascar in there!
Got collared by a nice young lady trying to sell me some hand and body moisturiser and demonstrating (on me) how nice it could make my hands and skin feel! I didn't mind that bit though.
Obviously did not buy it at the astronomical prices she was selling the stuff for despite how many smiles and seductive poses she tried.
Didn't buy anything in there actually was just killing time until I went to catch my bus.
Managed by some miracle to get on the right bud despite there being 2 with the same number that went to different places!
I had to keep alert because all the stops were requested stops and having not used public transport in the US much before I was a bit of a rookie. However... Thank heavens for Google maps! Using my tablet and it's inbuilt GPS feature I was able to tell exactly where we were throughout the whole journey and therefore get off at the correct stop.
Managed to find my next hotel... Well, it's actually a motel. It is around the corner from a crazy golf Park that also has live baby alligators. As long as one of them doesn't escape I should be OK!
The motel is a bit basic and noisy, the shower is just about to fall off the wall but anyway.
Later on in the day I decided to head out to the outlet stores at the top of international drive. Man was it busy, lots and lots of tourists from all nationalities and all of them looking for a bargain...... Of which there were plenty.
I took advantage of the dirt cheap prices and could easily have filled a other suitcase full of stuff. The area is vibrant though , it was a lovely evening weather wise, the place is like a giant shopping mall now with bars and little cafes, even fountains and a nice little stream as well.
Relaxed there with a beer and some food before catching the bus back to the hotel.
Last day in Orlando tomorrow and plenty to do.
